Building on Tradition: A Lecture by Bill Curtis

Bill Curtis is this year’s featured lecturer at the Gregg County Historical Museum’s architecture lecture series in Longview, Texas. “Building on Tradition” will illustrate and discuss the principals of traditional architecture that are at the core of Curtis & Windham’s work. The first lecture will take place on Thursday, February 20th at 2:00 pm with a second lecture following at 7:00pm. Both will be held at the Gregg County Historical Museum, 218 N. Fredonia Street, Longview. Admission is free although seating is limited. Courtyard Gardens on Garden Conservancy’s Open Days Tour

The Del Monte Residence & Gardens  is one of several private gardens that will be open to the public on the Garden Conservancy’s Open Days Program, taking place on Saturday March 23, from 10:00am to 4:00pm. The Open Days Program is a national event that opens some of the finest public and private gardens for public viewing. Tickets can be purchased in advance through the Garden Conservancy’s website or on the day of the event.
