Church of Heavenly Rest

Abilene, TX

This ecclesiastical renovation was taken on at the behest of, and with great deference to, the congregation which had long found a home within the walls of this beautiful church. Originally designed by the great Philip H. Frohman, the Church of Heavenly Rest was in need of several additions that would encourage the growth of its community, such as a new courtyard and great hall. We held great respect for the original architecture and materials of the church, blending our work seamlessly into the palette and character of existing property.

“These are the nicest people we’ve ever worked for. They gave us an amazing opportunity to complete the vision of one of America’s greatest church architects. Their conviction to do great things allowed our work to follow suit.”
